AMERICAN NATIONAL GOVERNMENT

This course begins with an introduction of Western political philosophy and early American history, federalism, the U.S. Constitution and the three branches of the national government. Next we examine the media, public opinion, interest groups, political parties, voting and elections. Finally, we define and discuss civil liberties and civil rights. This is a self-paced, 16 week eLearning high school/college preparatory course on American National Government. Course includes reading assignments, video lectures, and assessments (auto-grading quizzes/tests and optional parent graded written exams).
